So this morning I had to wake up early and hit the gym earlier for a quicker sesh because I had to get to court at 9AM so I could fight a parking ticket! I woke up and made myself a banana squished with Better N PB in the middle & a glass of vanilla soy. For some reason my banana always gets slippery and slides off the other side. Very frustrating at 6AM..
When I got to the gym I decided it would be a legs day. I did 20 minutes on the StairMaster. Warming up at level 5 for 3 minutes then did intervals of 1 minute at level 9 and 1.5 minutes at level 7 for the first 10 minutes and then for the final 10 minutes I did level 11 for 1 minute and level 8 for 1.5 minutes. After that I did some leg weight lifting
Assisted sqauts 3 sets 15 about 30 lbs
Lunges 2 sets of 15 each leg about 20-30 lbs
Hamstring curl 2 sets 15, 50 lbs
Seated Leg extension 2 sets 15, 50 lbs
Glutes 1 set 20, 50 lbs
Leg Press 2 sets 15, 60 lbs
Then I finished up with the Elliptical at Hill+ Around the World at level 8 for 20 minutes.
On my way to court I was really hungry and felt like something with a good amount of protein in it. So I stopped at a convienence store and found Muscle Milk Light in Vanilla Creme. It was deliiiiicious. It had 160 cals with about 4.5 g fat, 5 g fiber, no added sugar & 20g protein! I was excited to try it and really happy with how good it tasted.
Anyways I got to court and it took about 45 minutes but definitely worth it because my parking ticket went from 70 bucks to ZERO. I ended up knowing the judge and before I saw him it was already reduced to $10 but then he just dismissed it and we ended up chatting about volleyball for a little. It was great & definitely made it worth going.
After court on my way to work I was pretty hungry and dreaming of my Kashi Honey Almond Flax bar that I was gonna eat when I got there but I knew it wouldn't hold me over until lunch so I picked up some Starbucks (still using my gift card) and got a Venti half decaf/half regular coffee and a fruit cup. I used raw cane sugar and only 1 Splenda! I'm getting a little better...
Be back after lunch :) Hope my hunger holds off till then. Oh and TGIF!! I still can't decide if I'm gonna do the Long Beach Snowflake Race tomorrow morning...either way I definitely want to run a good amount tomorrow...I guess we'll see..
