So I woke up this morning and felt like I got slapped by a sleepy stick the size of an 18 wheeler truck. Straight shot right to the body. I looked up at my clock and in a blur it said 17:22. holy crap where AM I?! not being able to think or see straight I jumped out of bed 100% sure that I was late for...something...whatever I was getting up early to do. oh that's right, late for going to the gym..
got up. washed my face. still unsure of why my clock was telling me it was 17oclock. got dressed, slapped on my HRM watch, read it and saw that it said 5:32AM. phew. damn military time. well after this extravaganza I knew my heart rate was gym ready. I went downstairs drank a bottle of water, popped a few Puffins in the trap and headed out to the gym.
oh.my.god. it was totally one of those days. one of what days? Well, you know those days where it feels like you are pulling that same exact 18 wheeler that smacked you early this morning and you could swear you must be burning 500cal/min until you check your HRM and it says like .0005 cal/min. well yes one of those days. I pushed myself hardcore and worked my way through an hour run incorporating Fitness NYC's 2s and 4s treadmill challenge and for the last 20 minutes a little interval work. holy sweat. Jillian Michaels also had to make another appearance during the final 15 minutes. gotta do whacha gotta do right.
I came home and devoured this bowl of carbs (i mean cereal)

I ran over to work to see a client then came back to shower and join Deej on a little food shopping trip :)

Deej requested one too so to be in her favor during the shopping trip (very important) I agreed to share and made one of her own. She said "mmm now that's deliciousss" girl you know it.
For some reason that same 18 wheeler that hit me this morning never actually left so when Deej left me with the groceries to unpack and put away she knew I needed a little incentive

I worked up a BIG appetitie for lunch and decided to make myself a humungo salad

After being sent ooodles of coups for LightLife products I couldn't wait to try some of their great food. I threw these pepperoni slices in my salad as a great source of protein and they went perfect with the Laughing Cow wedges. I seriously love these. The nutritional stats are great too! It's about 50 calories for 13 slices (and they're normal size slices too), they also have 9 grams of protein per serving AND for those vegans out there, well you can eat them too! They were SO tasty and even had a little kick to their flavor! I haven't had pepperoni slices since um like the 90s and I just want to say thank you LightLife for reintroducing these insanely underated way of getting good protein into ANYTHING. I can't wait to use them in other recipes :) consensus? buy themmmm.
Post salad extravaganza I was feelin the mood for some popcorn, or 2 bowls of popcorn. SO I popcorned it up while reading some blogs and watching Wife Swap.
Off to work I went to work with a bagillion clients and brought this Cinnamon Spice Alternative Bagel with a little bit of Better N Peanut Butter schmeared on.
I knew it was going to be a long night and I had straight clients from 4:30-9 so I didn't want to feel like I had to overeat when I got home. SO there go while I'm blogging I had 1/2c cottage cheese with some cinnamon and Kashi Crunch and a few carrot sticks with some mango salsa :) What do you eat if you haven't had a substantial dinner but don't want to eat too much before you go to bed??
