So remember the scene in Twister when Helen Hunt and her mainsqueeze had to use their belts and strap themselves to the pipe to avoid being swept away by the enormous tornado...
JJ was even a little bit of weaksauce..
pre creepy scary dark storm clouds my dad was nothing short of a snoozefest. I woke up a little later and had some camera shy toast with TJs Pumpkin Butter jam and strawbreezies while I caught up with some emails before heading out to the gym.
I had my new Thursday gym obsession yogalates class penciled in to my agenda and I icked around on the elliptical for an easy peazy 30 minutes of Jon & Kate gossip catch up via US Weekly. I headed down to the class praying not to see my new trainer crush because I was dream shy today. do you ever have a dream about someone and then feel embarressed to see them the next day even though they would have NO idea that you dreamt about them... phew! didn't see him today so I escaped the rosie cheek syndrome.
Yogalates was fab and the perfect combo of yoga + pilates. Can I just say for the record that I detest leg circles..
By the time the class was over and we got in our final "ooooooooooooooooohhhhmmmmmm" my tums was growling. I think it was more of a "feeeeed meeeee" then a "ohm chant"
I knew what I needed to get in my belly and it wasn't baby back ribs..
carbs!
I stuffed my face with a hugh jackman sized bowl of cereal. in the mix:
1/2c Kashi H2H
1/3c Kashi GoLean
1/2c TJs Fiber Sticks
sprinkling of Special K Cinnamon & Kashi Crunch crumbles
2 sliced strawbreezies
USVAM du jour
& to top it off a BIG OLE scoop of Naturally More PBizzle
it was carbtastic
And as if that wasn't enough. I had a good old very camera shy macaroon & bowl of very pink watermelon. welp when in Rome.. nope that doesn't apply there..
After having a pass out Round 2 because as if yesterday's mid-day unconsious two hour pass out wasn't enough, my body said eff you and sucker punched me out for a good hour today.
Upon waking up my tums was starting to growl a bit so I ran to the food store to get my oh so special ingreeds. Came back chopped, carved, cackled threw it in the oven, showered and came down to rendevous with myself for lunch
a plate-o-joy
and you ask what's in the bowl in the far left hand corner?
kombucha squaaaaaash!
baked in the oven at 400 degrees for about 40 minutes this fine baby soaked in all of the cinnamon deliciousness and came out all warm and delicious like. oh holy squash heaven. Although it was a bit of a battle to carve and peel and cut, you know it's always worth it in the end. yum.
post squash fest I proceeded to spend the rest of my unmotivational and lazy arss day reading a not so great book and watching ridiculous amounts of Wife Swap. thursday fail. Eventually Deej came home and we went to go pick up a new inner tube so that she can rock my socks off on our boat this weekend. it's when she takes all of her parental anger out on us kids. mission complete!
We hit up the diner for a quick Greek Salad with shrimpies and naner sardines light on the feta please! also very camera shy and came home to prep myself for a night of vampire volleyball aka my 10PM game. pa pa paleasseee let it stop raining before then!
friday? work! saturday? work! saturday night? parrtay!
So the response to yesterday's post regarding 5 years from now was absolutely insane! I love love loved hearing all of your responses as to how far you've come and where you're going and it sounds like you ladies have got ALOT to be proud of :) side note: I will be expecting wedding invitations to all of your romantic events!
off to ball it up!
peace ;)

Crazy storm! Love the footage--you could def. be a storm chaser ;)
Ooh cinnamon and kabocha! I have one on the counter, I need to make that :D
Have a lovely night!
haha i loved twister! i had a few friends who wanted to be storm chasers after that came out. not me, no thanks. we had an outrageous storm here today, lasted about 20 minutes but it was monsoon status. lovin the cereal mix. have fun at your game! hope it dries up!
Oh my gosh...Twister is such an oldie but goodie. :-) I seriously doubt those little leather straps would have held them to the pipe, haha. Storms freak me out sometimes.
Yogalates sounds like a fun class. I hope the gym in St. Louis has some free (and not lame) classes that I can take! :-)
That is a hell of a bowl of cereal, and delightfully carb-tastic. YUM!
I remeber watching that movie while away for a hockey tournament when I was a little kid, I was definitely terrified for a while after seeing it!
Feeeeeeeeed meeeeeee!! Hahah! That sounds like my tumtum!
So true about parental aggression!! They think it's funny to knock our asses off the tubes but it hurts! ;)
Yum, the squash looks and sounds great! I've never heard of that type of squash.
The storm looks scary, but I'll admit, I've ALWAYS wanted to see a tornado! I'm sure if I did see one I would crap my pants, but I really one to see one, live, before I die :)
What a storm! YIKES!
I had to get my hubby to cut my kabocha for me. I'm such a weakling!
that's a crazy storm! and i cut my kabocha before i roast them!
dang girl those clouds are crazy! glad you and your pup made it outta there.. without the help of helen ;)
YIKES, that weather looks scary! I was actually in the middle of a tornado one time like 10 years ago in a car with my family. The twister was like 10 feet from us, not even kidding... it actually picked up the back of our car! Glad you stayed safe though!!!
That yogalates class sounds so awesome!!! Yoga and pilates are my two favorites, so I can only imagine that a combination of the two would be just about perfect!
Have a fab weekend!
xxoo
Heather
