How Now Brown Cow

So I'm happy to report that last night's dinner was a success. Usually I go into the city with very high hopes to have the meal that I dreamed up in my head (usually WF hotbar) and more times then not it does NOT follow through.

Last night the Energy Kitchen and the fam pulled through and we found ourselves enjoying and inhaling healthy fast food.

Of course, like the psycho foodie I am, I had already scoped the menu and decided what I was getting to eat. No surprise or excitement here. Just your standard egg white wrap with the most amazingly spicy mushrooms as one side, and salad as the other. All of course doused in spicy hot sauce "salsa" packets.

I woke up this morning with more energy then the Energizer Bunny and was almost too excited for Wednesday morning spin. As per usual I did my standard 5AM sprint to my car in fear. As was exceptionally fast today because I hear a loud bang outside while getting dressed and I was for sure convinced that today was my last day at Wednesday spin, or just on Earth.

Spin was GREAT and I'm happy to report there were no creeps waiting in or around my car to kidnap me. It's a damn good thing I had so much energy today because the instructor declared today "race day" in which every other song was a sprint. yes. killer legs.

After class, because sprinting just wasn't enough to get my legs to rock bottom so I decided to lift legs too. I did this legs workout which I yoinked from Gina the other day.

Split squat 10 lbs each 3 sets of 10
Saxon side bend 5 lbs each 3 sets of 10 each side
Sumo squat and leg lift 15 lb bodybar
3 sets of 10 on each side
Good mornings 20lb body bar
3 sets of 12
Stability ball calf raise 8 lbs each 3 sets of 12
Weighted step ups 8 lbs each 3 sets of 12 each side

fast and furious.

Did you think I would have anything different for breakfast today?

well you were wrong...or right...if you guessed protein oats, well you the man fo sho.
I MUST restock my PB2 collection. I am 100% sure that it will make these even more amazing.

Work was well work. You know how it goes. I got more clients though and was a busy busy bee today!

By the time work was done I was super hungry and SUPER tired. In my head I assembled my lunch on my drive home. too bad it wasn't already on a plate when I got there.

Arduous labor makes for excellent outcomes.

put broccoli in ziploc steam bag? done.
make cottage cheese spicy with Kernel Season's Cajun, garlic powder & salsa? done.
add Lightlife Pepperoni's? done.
stuff in pita with spinach, tomato & TJs Roasted Red Pepper hummus? done AND done.

go 'head be jelly..

I was still feeling a tad snackalicious a little while later so I sliced up an apple and had the leftover half of my protein muffin that I grabbed on my way out the door before the gym this morning.
enter food belly.

guys. it's FREEZING. I've had more tea today then I've had in a long @$$ time. And I'm currently wearing about 10 layers of clothing.

I had A LOT of school reading to get done before going back to work...

I passed out. Waking up 5 minutes before I had to leave for work with no school reading done and naner time to make dinner results in panic stress and shoving snack into my face.

I decided to give my new purchase of Brown Cow greek yogs a whirl, knowing I wouldn't be eating dinner until close to 9PM. It was good! Chobs Vanilla still has my heart but this has my pocketbook's heart being on sale $1 a piece. plus there's a coupon on the inside of the lid ;)

Alright well I guess I should get to reading. Now that I'm home from work and completely exhausted. who am I kidding. Top Chef & SYTYCD all the way kids.

have a great night!

what fall tv shows are you MOST looking forward to? LOST baby! even though that's in the winter, I'm still SUPER pumped :)

Ah I freak out to when I have to go to my car alone in the dark! Ugh, hate it. Ooh, I've never seen that brown cow yogurt. I've gotta look for it!

I usually get home from work at midnight (or later...), so it's always dark and the state of Pennsylvania doesn't believe in streetlights. I live in a townhouse so I park as close as I can to the townhouse, check out my surroundings, open the garage door from my car, run from my car to the garage, close the garage door as I'm halfway there. And I live in a safe neighborhood!

Creepies are everywhere.

Woot woot! Thanks for the comment on my getting up again! I got up this AM even though I didn't have gym time scheduled - instead I spent a half hour playing on my phone while laying in bed. Amazing!!

I LOVE LOST too. Oh, so amazing.

Oh I should check out TJ's hummus when I go there today, it sounds good. Your egg white wrap looks fantastic too. I always look at the menu ahead of time so I know what I want to order! It prevents me from masking hasty decisions.

My favorite fall show stated last week, Amazing Race! Nick can't wait for LOST to start, but I don't watch it, I try but I'm too confused!

Oh check out my post today, I made some of that cinn./sugar popcorn!

I heart a good spin class where I have tons of energy. I picture everyone looking at me thinking, "What the f is she on? Can I have some?" I love it.

I need to find some Brown Cow Greek. I'm tired of paying a pretty penny for my one a day chobs habit.

Haha, I am just the same way with scoping out menus before I eat somewhere new. I just like knowing my options and having something I want to try in mind before I get there! :)

I've been wanting to try that brown cow greek yogurt for a while now, but I can't seem to find it in stores! I love their normal yogurt, so hopefully I'll find in soon.

I always thought healthy fat food was an impossible (except subways, drooooool) but energy kitchen has made me a believer!

that brown cow yog is legit, no? and I'm all about the coupons -- especially 'cause it gives you an excuse to lick the lid :)
