We've Got A Thick One

hey guys!
Is it me or did this weekend not even exist...
It's seriously been a whirlwind of nothingness that I can't even remember what I did. Oh that's right. Because it was nothing.

I took a hiatus yesterday and a little break from blogging. One of my best friend's father lost his battle to brain cancer on Friday night and when we all found out Saturday well it just became one of those days. It helps to know that he is in a much better place now where he is pain free and watching down on his family, being their guardian angel. So please just take a second of your time right now and say a little prayer for his family and my friend.

Thanks :)

Anyways this morning I slept in like it. was. my. job. I most certainly neede
d the sleep being that Deej told me I was in need of some "serious sun"
the other day. And being that the weather was nothing short of crappay I slept in until about 10:30. yeah yeah that's late for me!
I woke up and KNEW I was feenin for some comfort food.

mm mm.
in the bowl?

1/2c Country Choice Multigrain Cereal, 1/4c canned pumpkin, LOTS of cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice, some stevia. threw that baby in the microwave and let it get all hot hot hot!.

Then I mixed in 1 chopped apple (that had already been microwaved apple pie style with cinnamon), 2 tbsp Better N Peanut Butter, & a sprinkle of Nature
's Path for crunchiness. THEN I threw THAT back in the microwave for 30 seconds and when it came out...

it. was. like. cake.

go 'head scroll back up and drool.
Anyways the rest of the day was spent with lots of texts on the details of the wake and such and some catching up on Rachel Zoe. love my Sunday trash tv catchups. Eventually I pulled myself together, go showered, and go ready for the wake.

I wasn't really in the mood to eat anything and I was angry be
cause I had just scolded one of my ex-clients because she called me telling me she wanted a refund for the next two months because "this program wasn't easy enough for a woman who works 5 days a week" I wanted to punch her and I told her "weight loss isn't easy." If you want to see the results you have to make the time. She wasn't havin it so I told her the bad news of the no refund policy and then I took my frustration out with a blender.

Between the wake which I REALLY don't do well in these situations and the client I ended up having a slight breakdown.

I rallied in time to suck my lunch down.

This baby was a thick one. twss.

I EVEN had to use a spoon! My supah cool spoon from CHI..

1c USVAB, 1/2 frozen banana, 1 scoop EAS Vanilla Whey protein powder, 1tsp coconut extract, 1tbsp flax, a whole lotta spinach and a whole lotta love.

I was outta the house and off to the wake. It was sad. And the family was so strong. Sometimes I was, sometimes I wasn't.

And now I'm home blogging and more then ready to eat dinner. So I'm off to consume copious amounts of cottage cheese and broccoli slaw!

Sorry for the ish post. I'll be back with some wit and lovin tomorrow :)

I'm so sorry for your friend's loss. You never imagine something so terrible to hit so close to home until it actually does. At least he is in a better place now without any pain or suffering. I'll be sure to keep your friend and her family in my thoughts and prayers.

Such a delicious green smoothie to fuel up with! Loving how thick it is.

The bowl sounds fantastic but did you add any liquid or anything to it before heating it up? Milk? Water?

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend's father, for sure their family will be in my prayers.

On a lighter note, nice work sleeping in until 10:30am! I can remember the days when I used to sleep in that late...now I can barely sleep in until 9! Unless of course I've had a few drinks the night before. Your breakfast looks fantastic, I love ALL of the great stuff you put in there!

Would you recommend that multigrain cereal? Where do you find it? It sounds tasty!
