i'm so glad you enjoyed slapsgiving. i can't lie and say that i don't celebrate that holiday on a daily basis.
and i'm slightly (100%) sure that you might too..
saturday for me was busy busy busy! with work and my friends afternoon engagement party by the time i got home i was spent. so what does a cool 23 year old do? why order sush and watch star trek with her mom, dad & sister. duh. not to mention be in bed by 11PM.
i'm pretty sure steve ward would say this is not the way you meet men.
when i woke up this morning i had spin in my head. i got up and groggily got dressed, drank some water & emergen-c and went to start my car. when i was in my car waiting for it to heat up i decided i wasn't in the mood to listen to someone else's music. so what's a girl to do? go back inside change my clothes (into pants that won't fall down on the treadmill), get my ipiz and then head to the gym.
jammin to my music was so much better.
here's what i did:
time speed incline
0-5 (warmup) 4.0mph 6%
5-7 5.0mph 2%
7-9 5.5mph 2%
9-10 6.0mph 2%
10-12 5.5 2%
12-14 6.0 2%
14-15 6.5 2%
15-20 repeat minutes 10-15
20-25 4.5 start at 6.0 & increase by .5% every 30seconds
25-30 4.5 start at 8.5 & decrease by .5% every 30secs
30-40 repeat minutes 10-15
40-45 6.3 1.5%
45-50 repeat minutes 20-25
50-55 (cooldown) 3.5mph 1%
it was a grrrreat workout!
ever since i picked up a container of chocolate unsweetened almond breeze from whole foods a week ago, i've had dreams of using it in my oatbran and i thought this morning was zee perfect time to use.
so by the time i got home hungry like a beast i whipped a batch in no time flat.
kookoo for cocoa oats
1cup unsweetned chocolate almond breeze
2/3c water
cinnmaon, slenda & nunaturals cocoa bean extract drops
1/3c oatbran
1/2 banana cooked in pot
on top:
2tbsp better n peanut butter
1/2 banana
1/4c peanut butter puffinz
now normally i'm not a chocolate person, hey! it's just not my thing. but when i have something in my head that i wanna do, well i usually do it.
and these were delicious! very decadent and i know that super chocolate lovers would adore this concoction.
alright kidz i'm off for a full day of homework, food shoppage, fooooozeballll, and some other things hur and thur.
hope you all have a WONDERFUL sunday!
what's your favorite day of the week?
i think mine is definitely sunday. it's weird but i feel like sunday is the ultimate relaxation day to like do whatever you want! if you want to sit around and be lazy it's totally cool but if you don't then that's cool too! not to mention sundays are the perfect cooking day :)

haha, I just did a TON of cooking! Sunday is my day for cooking too. I think my favorite day of the week is Saturday, because that's the day Nick is off at 3pm and we actually get to see each other during the day, it's nice.
And, I am just like you, I'm a home-body on many weekends. I love hanging out with the family and watching movies! In fact, I got sushi with my mom and dad this weekend :)
mmmm loving that bowl of oatbran girl!
I think my fav day of the week is certainly saturday! I do love sundays but its just gloomy towards the end of the day knowing I have work on monday! still so nice and relaxing though!
GREAT WORKOUT!
That looks delish! I am definitely a chocolate person :-)
My favorite day is probably thursday....so much excitement for the weekend!
My fave day is Friday because Friday night is almost always a night for going out (like date night) since we are able to come home from work, shower, and then go out to celebrate the week being over.
bah steve ward! thanks for reminding me of my trash tv obligations tonight... how are those single ladies not gawking over him?
I am all about sundays.. until like 5pm rolls around.. It's all downhill from there.
Ugh! You and I should go on next season's Tough Love ;) Actually, wait...after the lovin' advice you've given me the past few months, you could be Steve Ward!
Yay for another non-chocolate obsessed blogger. Your oats sound goooooood though. My favorite day of the week? Tuesday!
Sundays are just sooooo relaxing, but I generally feel super lazy!
haha- sounds like a sweet little night to me. I went to bed early pretty much every night over my little thanksgiving "break" and loved every minute of it. Favorite day of the week- Saturday! Hope you're enjoying football
kookoo for cocoa oats look rockin delish. I loved cocoa krispies as a kid!
Fave Day of the week, prob Sunday too. Yoga, family time, chill time, yeah, Sunday.
And thanks for the Andes Mints Candies people should call me compliment re my Creme de Menthe bars :)

hahaha i just read your slapsgiving post and i am fairly certain i need to see that show to fully understand it all.. ummm yeah.
BUT i just wrote down a slew of good workout ideas from your workouts as of late. so thank you for that!
my fave day is probably saturday because it allows me to sleep in and stay up late!
happy monday jooooo leeeeee
I like Sundays too. It is the only day I have off of class and its so nice to have a break. I have never really tried cocoa oats but now I am def going to!
You are right, Sunday is the bomb. Also, tough love is the bomb too. You're right on, Steve would have you in the hotseat right now!
I love USCAB!!!
My fav day is Sunday because it's the one day that I can usually kick back and relax!
Great workout!! Great idea adding the chocolate into your oats! Must buy some AB and try that! My favorite day is Saturday because of no work and partying at night! On Sundays I stress too much about having to work the next day!
