Liquid Gold

friendsssssssssss it's fridaaaaaaaaaay!

ha. can you tell my excitement?

things I'm not excited about? not being at the Yankees parade right now along with this fridgid weather that is just not okay in my book.
Getting up this morning was hard. I'm not gonna front. I thought I was tired and I laid in bed for about 10 minutes reading my email and trying to think of every excuse under the sun to not get to the gym. I peeled myself out of bed when I ran out of excuses, slapped on some gym clothes, downed an Emergen-C and thought about listening to Britney Spear's 3, which I'm not gonna lie was the underlying motivation of getting to the gym.

workout
20 minutes elliptical, Crosstrain 3 Program, with resistance at 10.

1st circuit; 3 times through with about 30 seconds rest between each circuit
  • stepups with 10lb free weights, 15 reps each leg
  • one legged squats, 15lb bodybar on back & 15 reps each leg
  • wood chops, 12lb medicine ball, 15 reps each side
dumbbell squats, 3 sets 15; 10lb free weights

10 minutes elliptical, hill climb; increasing resistance 1% every 30 seconds

2nd circuit; 3 times through, 30 seconds rest between each time throughstability ball hamstring curl, 3 sets 15

strech & done :D

I debated the entire 15 minute drive home from the gym what in the world I was going to have for breakfast.
oatbran...cold protein oats...apple crisp...pumpkin protein oats...eggs..

I just couldn't decide!

So I thought the best idea I could come up with was make coffee which is never in question, clean myself up for work & pray by that time I will have decided on something.

And it worked!
warm apple crisp:
-1 gala apple (cinnamon, splenda & NuNaturals Vanilla Stevia drops) nuked for 30 seconds with a splash of USVAB
-1/2c Kashi Crunch
-2tbsp Nature's Path Pumpkin Flax Plus Granola
& an Olympic sized swimming pool of PB2 drizzled in, on, and all around.

along with a cup of joe this was the perfect breakfast to share with Kelly Ripa's pointy boobs

and a special thanks to Averie who pointed out yesterday that TJs Wintry Blend is in fact infused with peppermint! When I read her comment yesterday I literally went and opened the canister because I was so excited to know what the "mystery spices" were! (I'll let you know about the peppermint coffee machine stinkage after a couple of uses girl!)

if you follow me on Twitter would would have seen yesterday that I did in fact claim coffee to be liquid gold. That's still how I feel and I'm stickin with it!

Apparently my liquid gold just didn't do it for me today because I've had a serious case of the yawns ALL DAY.

I headed out to work miserable to have to go out in this blistery weather, saw a few clients, picked up some eggs & headed home hangry and ready for some face stuffing action.

and yes I picked up eggs for a reason.

McMuffin ain't got nuffin on me.

3 egg whites on a TJs WW English Muffin with a Laughing Cow, some avacado, spinach & naturally Santa Barbs babes.

enjoyed with a side of zuke chips (green & yellow zukes baked at 400 for about 10 minutes sprinkled with garlic powder, onion powder & red pepper flakes) and another side of steamed b sprouts & shroomies.

Plating: 0/10
Taste: 10/10

My belly was still speaking to me after I finished and maybe because I didn't give it enough time to shut up but when spoken to, I listen.

Dessert was another gala apple & 2tbsp of PB2.

with a side of Yogi wisdom.

Alright folks I smell a weekend of baking ahead of me, how about you?

I've got a lay low HIMYM night with the bff tonight and then tomorrow night I've got a Rachel Roy fashion show in the city to attend :) gotta get my fashionista on!

weekend plans?

mucho love to you all!

oh and click here to win some of barney's butt! or don't because I wanna win.

Those zuke chips look pretty neat. thanks for the idea. As for this weekend, making bread with the new machine (one in there right now) and maybe spearfishing/snorkeling tomorrow depending on the weather. As for this minute, heading to watch a movie.

Homemade egg sammies are soooooo good. My roomies and I pretty much have a saturday morning tradition of gathering in the kitchen to perfect the art of egg sammie making. It's normal, I promise.

I know that I-want-to-stay-in-bed-but-shoul-go-to-the-gym feeling. I always just remind myself that I'll feel a million times better after a good sweat sesh. Normally works wonders!

An Olympic sized swimming pool of PB2? Um, yes please! I'd drink that sucker up faster than Michael Phelps could complete the 200m.

Give me like a days advance notice next time you have that lunch so I can start walking to NY, kthanks ;)

There are 3 things I eat at McDonald's, if I go there. The first is a breakfast burrito, the second is a McFlurry, and the third is an Egg McMuffin, they're just too good. Oh, and their pancakes.

By the way, I saw your tweet about the Proposal. I couldn't agree with you more. I b*tched about it on Twitter the other night too. Lame.

Coffee = 100% liquid gold.. I wish I had a coffee maker so I wouldn't spend half of my weekly paycheck on it!
