By the time I was done with my workout I had completely overstayed my welcome at the gym and was slightly embarressed with the time I had spent there. So I peaced out of there dreaming of a deliciously warm breakfast.
I conjured up some apples and decided it was time to make the first apple pie of the season...
in my oatmeal!
After breakfast, caffiene and a few clients it was time to come home and conquer my to-do list.
1cup USVAB, 1/2 frozen banana, 1 scoop Designer Whey Vanilla protein powder, 1/3c canned pumpkin, 1tbsp flaxseed, generous shake of cinnamon & pumpkin pie spice, ICE & blend baby blend.
There's absolutely NO better way to enjoy pumpkin pie, then through a straw. okay I lie because the pie kind is damn good. BUT still. This was by far the most delicious smoothie I've had in my life. And I will most certainly be repeating this baby even through the cold months of the year.
After checking tackling many of my items on the to-do list I was getting chilly! Bloggies, it's cause for a celebration. I broke out the tea kettle in the month of August.
I sipped on some Coconut Mango Stash tea while busting through my to-do list.
A reward was definitely in need!
Who ya gonna call? banana nut cheerios!
and all was right in the world.
I kept truckin on my list of things to get done for the day and finally attacked the big one of cleaning up my room. I was in desperate need of making it an area condusive to studying and with the state it was in The Board of Health would have come in and shut me down. I don't know about you but when I get back into the school mode (and let me remind you it's been a solid year since I've even thought about studying) I need to prepare everything so that I can get my mind mentally in it. As Deej would say "You're a mental midgit" yep she's got it!
I certainly worked up an appetite and came downstairs to enjoy the 3/4 of a container of plain Chobs with cinnamon that was left.
Eventually I only had a few things left on my list! I felt so accomplished and was happy that I made something of my day. Deej came home from work and had to get her study on so I was glad I had left the kitchen condusive to her studying! She's taking her volleyball reffing certification exam tonight! And I had to get back to work to see a few clients.
The entire time at work while my clients were chatting about what they had for the past couple of nights for dinner, I dreamed up my own dinner.
It was cold. And I wanted something warm. comfort food. stir fry.
oh no she didn'..
oh yes she did.
Dinner was delicious. I bet you wanna know what's in there. fine. I'lll tell.
I took 2tbsp of Yoshita Sauce and stir fried it with scallions and some minced garlic. Then I added half a bag of broccoli slaw and let it simmah until it was good and ready. I added 1/2 a cup of egg beaters, scrambled them up in there and finally added various frozen veggies in the mix. When they started to get all simmery I threw in a Boca Burger, swirled it all up, sprinkled some garlic powder on top then threw it in a bowl. Once it was in the bowl I added a little pepper, some garlic powder and a LC Swiss wedge to get some more flavor in.
oh so good. and oh so sad when it was over.
I closed the night of eating off with a muffin and a swoosh of peanut butter on top.
As soon as I hit "publish" I will have crossed off all of my today to-dos! That most certainly calls for a woo hoo :)
What's your favorite fall comfort food?
