kera-spin.

hey nowwww.

it’s wednesday! and you know what that means! two dayz till friiiiday. if you can’t tell already the caffeine (another word i can never spell) from my green tea from this morning is running through my veins at a rapid pace

so yesterday i did indeed enjoy a nice 4+ hours in the beauty salon getting my keratin on and on and on and on..

spending 4 bagillion hours in a hair salon reading trash magazines and bbm-ing is a workout in itself so proper fueling prior to leaving was tres necessaire!

P1052737 cottage cheese+cannellini beans & proper scoopers plus a laughing cow wedge

kernel seasons sour cream & onion + beans & cottage cheese = repeat lunch today.

P1052736 P1052739

prepare for picture montage of all the things i did with my scoopers & cheese…

P1052740P1052741P1052743

layer them sheezies up! no other way to do it. layers of LC, CC, zukE, broccoliE

and some dessert on zee run!

P1052745enter forever in a hair salon.

for those of you that don’t know what the keratin hair treatment is well it’s also known as the brazilian straightening treatment and it’s a process in which it pretty much repairs you hair. click here to read more about it.

basically you go from this to that in no time flat forever

x-strange-doll        ------>       P1052761

click here to find out more about it. but basically if you’re considering it or have insanely crazy unmanageable hair like i used to, the i highly recommend it. for real it changed my liiiife.

and by the time i got home i was more then ready to whip up something for dinnah.

fu fry!

P1052750P1052751

in a pan i sauteed broccoli slaw, broccoli, green peppers, shroomies, onions & yellow zukes and cannellini beans in some low sodium chicken broth then i threw in half a block of almost expired extra firm light tofu and crumbled it all up in the mix. added some garlic, onion & chili powder and let it get all softies. then added in salsa and a laughing cow cheese wedge and inhaled.

i ended the night right with some biggest loser cryfest not for me, for them and some popcorn not for them, for me.

2 rules that come with the keratin treatment: no clips and no getting it wet for 3 days.

well this poses a problem for 6am spin now doesn’t it..

welp 60 minutes of spin went great but i can’t help but say that i was thinking about how fast i could get to the dryer in the locker room to de-wet my hur.

chest, tris and a blowdry

blow dry hair in locker room using hand dryer thank god nobody was in there.

stability ball chest fly into press (4 sets 12) 12lb free weights superseded with bodybar skullcrusher (4 sets 12) 15lb bodybar

blow dry hair in locker room

free weight pectoral press & pulse (4 sets 12, 15 second pulse) 10lb free weights superseded with tricep kickbacks & pulse (4 sets 15, 15 second pulse) 10lb free weights

incline chest press machine (4 sets 12) 20lbs, 25lbs, 27.5lbs, 30lbs

Your hair looks so pretty! Is that treatment expensive?

And great tofu recipe! I'm kind of a tofu virgin and only know how to flavor it with bbq sauce! haha.

And I need to try your cold protein oats! Maybe I will tomorrow!

Nice veggies and dip. Looks tasty. I am so hungry, I need to head home now from the base and get some dinner.

I need a hair product like that. I have one from Sephora that is great.

My friend got the cheaper version of the hair straightening done and it did wonders!! She just had poofy hair - nothing curly. And it looked great. I always struggled with crispy curls, but just recently found the best curl stuff ever (well for me). It makes my hair super curly and not crispy at all - I forget the name, but it comes in a yellow bottle and smells fruity!

LOOOOOOVE the locks! I won't lie, I had no idea what keratin was but it looks pretty genius. Why is it that it seems like all forms of beauty treatments are torturous?

Heyyyy miss thang! Your hair looks gorgey, I won't lie. My hair is a beast but it's usually up in a clip or under a hat so I deal. Once I get out of school I will tackle the hair battle.
And cannellini beans are my fave beans!!!! Haha only awesome people have favorite types of beans, dontcha think?

WOWOWOW!! Boy do I need that treatment on my hair!! It looks so good Julie, I can't believe it. Now, I HAVE had my hair permed before, through Aveda's permanent straightening procedure, but it dries my hair out to death. Now I just rely on keeping my hair cut short, so it doesn't take me long to straighten it. Actually JUST TODAY I got a new straightener!! I just used it and WOWmy hair is straight!

Love the before and after hair pics!!! :)

So, cottage cheese, beans and popcorn seasoning? I think you've won me over. Now I just need to buy the popcorn stuff.

I love Aveeno products in my shower. They smell great and don't mess with my skin!
