spin this morning? awesome.
doesn’t my bathroom look
really slightly creepy…(if deej sees this she’s gonna kill me. she hates when i post pictures of our “messy house.” sorry ma!)
…don’t you love workouts in non air conditioned rooms, where you come out the color of a fire truck while simultaneously looking like you could potentially pass out..
i have off from work today so i took some time, hit the mats and ended my workout with some abs and stretching
- cable torso rotation (35lbs) 3 sets 15 each side
- planks (2 minutes) 2 sets
- bicycles (30 slow bikes) 3 sets
- full body crunches 3 sets of 30
now i know many people aren’t big fans of the infamous whole foods bulk bins (for various reasons, that i won’t be mentioning mainly to play stupid, ignorant girl who ignores the probable dirtiness of them) but i love them.
why? you ask.
because they save me absurd amounts of money.
and they make noteworthy
amazing contributions to breakfast
they aid in turning this:
1/2c whole foods bulk bin oat bran cooked with 1.5 cups water & refridgerated overnight
premade oat bran mixed with 5 extra large egg whites (cooked with cinnamon, stevia & cream of tartar), topped off with calorie free chocolate syrup, unsweetened cocoa powder, 1/2tbsp whole foods honey roasted peanut butter & 1tbsp smuckers s/f strawberry jam.
move over trader joe’s toasted oat bran. whole foods dirty bulk bin oat bran is the new man in town.
and their fresh made honey roasted peanut butter? re-donk good. just sayin..
i love you crunchy freshly ground honey roasted peanut butter blob.
i love you dirty whole foods bulk bins. i will be back to see you soon
jeeeze julie enough about the bulk bins already!
as if you thought i was done talking about bulk bins.
after breakfast i cleaned the kitchen for deej, have yet to shower, yet somehow managed to forgo a pedicure for a trip to restock my veggie collection
i guess i can paint my own toes..
another reason i love whole foods bulk bins?
really really cheap nooch
yesterday i saw naomi make a sweet potato for lunch and it had me really really really wanting one, so while i was out food shopping i picked up a couple small ones to feed the urge
i accompanied the bowl of vegs with a small sweet potato that i steamed in the microwave and then let cool in the fridge. after it cooled i filled it with a combo of 1/2c no salt cottage cheese & 1/4c plain chobani.
yum! it hit the spot just right
is it not the best feeling in the world when you fill your cravings?
naomi also posted other blogger’s tips on ways they recommend getting their abs ready for summer. i especially loved erica’s comment and found myself shaking my head in agreement with her!
“”Erica: The closer to nature I eat, the better my abs seem to look!”
i totally agree that when i clean foods that are nature-friendly i feel my best! the most energy, my jeans fit the best, and i find myself just feeling clean in general! i’ve been slacking as of late on watching my sodium intake in foods especially in coming home from work, being lazy and just finding things in the freezer that make quick fix dinner choices. i’m going to make it a point to be more aware of the sodium i’m taking in on a daily basis! not limiting myself, but just making a better effort to eat “cleaner” foods & less processed choices!
alright enough blab. i’m off to get some work done, paint my toes & figure out what’s for dinner! enjoy your wednesday :)
