this is what i’ve felt like all day long.
my morning went like this: wake up, get dressed for the gym, go to the gym, get on the elliptical, decide i don’t want to be there, get off the elliptical, drive home (it’s still dark out), climb back into bed, reset my alarm for an hour, pass out, wake up & head out to work.
i felt like i was still sleeping the entire day. right up until i re-hit the gym after work and banged out a solid elliptical sesh along with some shoulder lifting.
glorious end to the day.
i actually wasn’t going to throw a post up tonight. but if you had the dessert that i just had, you would have made a b-line for your live writer too.
the other day when i was
emptying my wallet at perusing trader joe’s i spied a new product to the shelves and nearly ran my shopping cart into the free coffee sample stand.
staring right back at me in the face was this glorious monster
without even taking a second thought my hand grabbed this baby and threw it in my car. resisting the urge to buy the entire self, i settled for just one.
they did serious posts about they way they use peanut flour, and it’s actually where i first heard about it.
basically in a nut shell you can make your own peanut butter, which only ends up being 55 calories for 2 tablespoons, as opposed to the near 100 you would hit with normal peanut butter.
check these stats out!
that’s right you are not seeing things. 110 calories for 1/4 cup with a whopping 16 grams of protein!
i smell peanut butter pancakes..
now to the important part. this evening’s post dinner snack featured the marriage of two new-to-me glorious combinations.
i made a serving of alyson’s protein pudding by whipping in a blender 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder + 1/2 serving of extra firm tofu (drained) + 1-2 tablespoons of unsweetened almond breeze with a pinch of xanthum gum.
it made a glorious thick icing like frostingness pudding.
then just for kicks i took 1.5 tablespoons of peanut flour and combined it with 1 tablespoon of water. just mixed the two ingredients up until it became thick like peanut butter
what do i think?
see you later ridiculously overpriced pb2. move on in peanut flour, you are my new love.
peanutty? yes. cheap? yes. and 2 tablespoons will only cut you back 55 calories with 2g fat, 4 carbs and a whopping 8g protein!
oh hello lover.
other things you could potentially use this for pancakes, smoothie thickeners, to make sweet passionate love to…
you know the usual ;)
alrighty well i’m off to chill in front of the boob tube (its a big television night! project runway, so you think you can dance, joisey shawe, bethenny getting married, etc, etc, etc) & not too soon after get my shut eye going awn.
- if you got your filthy paws on peanut flour, how would you use it? give me your seeecrets!
- what are you feelings on the jersey shore? i think it’s pretty ridiculous to be honest and yet i watch every waking moment. it’s like a car accident. you know you shouldn’t watch..yet can’t peel your eyes away from it. i went to college in the dirty jerz and to be honest there are many people like that from there (trust. i know from experience) but not everyone is like that! there are many many many normal people.
