madonna fans in the house?
deej and i are huge and i mean huge old school circa immaculate collection album madonna fans. we used to play that album on repeat during our long road trips to volleyball tournaments back in the day.
i think my favorite all time madonna song has got to be crazy for you. i mean there are so many it’s way to hard to choose from!

so last night for dinner it was just one of those nights where i had honestly no clue what i wanted to eat. hold your breathe because for once in my life i wasn’t feeling a kitchen sink salad
mainly because i had a glorious beast of a salad for lunch
a 4 egg white sweet omelet with a salad beast of spiralized zuchinni, broccoli slaw, maters, shrooms, corn & carrots, feta & drizzled with a new to me tjs purchase
i like! it tasted really great with the mix of feta, and i think i just wish it had a little stronger flavor. i’ll give it a B+
now back to dinner.
i was so unsure of what i wanted but i knew it had to be mediterranean ish and i knew it should involve a snack plate of sorts. and it had to be slightly no work & semi-fast.

solution: feta turkey burgers! just what the doctor ordered. i followed the same recipe but this time added in
a heaping spoon of some cumin to give it a little spice
i also roasted up some eggplant, brussels & made carrot fries and zuke chips. i stacked my veggies with shrooms and maters and used a ridiculous amount of hannah’s tatziki for spread & dippage

i’ve stayed on track this week with my workouts and woke up good and early to get to spin. i’ve been craving a good sweat and this class sure delivered.
before spin i pumped a little shoulder iron and threw in some core moves during shoulder rest times
i don’t think they’re ever going to fix the air conditioning in the spin room
i do think that my breakfast could potentially give crumbs bakery a run for it’s money..
i also think that my microwave needs a good scrub down after this one..

cookie dough oatmeal + container of yoplait greek + 1/2tbsp naturally more, smuckers sugar free strawberry preserrves, drizzling of calorie free chocolate syrup & dustage of cocoa powder

i’ve gotten a lot of questions about my cookie dough oatmeal and how i make it. so let me take a few seconds and fill you in just in case you’re drooling right now and want to rewind your life and re-make your breakfast
cookie dough oatmeal instructions:
it’s simple! i take a carb combo of 1/3c bob’s red mill wheat bran & 1/4c trader joe’s toasted oat bran, mix it with cinnamon, stevia (either purevia or nunaturals) & vanilla extract. then i add some sort of liquid (about 1 1/2 cups) sometimes its water, sometimes it’s leftover decaf coffee. i throw that baby in the microwave for about 5 cycles of 1 and a half minutes (to prevent oatmeal explosion). then as soon as it gets pretty thick (not much moisture left) i either throw it in the fridge overnight or add in a serving of protein powder, then throw it in the fridge. the next morning when it’s reached it’s cookie dough like texture i add in the toppings, peanut butter, jelly, greek yogurt, etc.
it’s magnifique! it doesn’t have to be overnight either! i made mine this morning before i went to the gym and an hour and a half did the same thing as overnight! you can even put it in the freezer for less time and it does the job :)
