as if every post wasn’t a show & tell..
remember show & tell when you were little? we used to have them every friday in kindergarten. they were so fun. don’t you think we should have adult show & tell at work, or something?
i woke up this morning with the thursday thugs. i’m glad to know it’s not just me who generally feels this every thursday, because when i walked into the gym this morning, i overheard a man talking to his gym partner about thursdays just being an overall drag kind of day.
i had the intentions of doing 35 minutes easy lipticinzing + back & bis but my body just felt to exhausted to go round & round on the cardio machine so after 25 minutes i hopped off and just carried on to the weights portion of the morning.
listening to your body is muchos importante!
show & tell #1: back & biceps
straight set: assisted pull-ups 3 sets

show & tell #2: breaking-the-fasttttttttttttttt
oh how glorious it was.
kiwi strawberry eggs ‘n oats! i know you’re curious about this one. so here’s what i did.
i cooked a serving of oat bran the night before in the microwave with water, cinnamon, stevia & a packet of snapple kiwi strawberry flavored drink mix. i let it sit in the fridge overnight so it gets all thick & cookie dough like. when i got home from the gym i whipped up a 5 egg white pancake using 1/2 tsp cream of tartar & cinnamon/stevia. let that cool. diced it up. mixed it into the chunky oats & made a peanut flour peanut butter paste to top it off with some sugar free raspberry jam & unsweetened cocoa powder for dusting!
whew! that was a paragraph & a half. reading it is totally worth your while ;)

deej & i were supposed to take advantage of this glorious weather and go walking at the boardwalk but i had to take care of some school drama & she had to get some work done. so a rain check it was!
show & tell # 3: lunch!
lunch i owe the gloriousness & beautifulness solely to ashley of the edible perspective! if you haven’t visited her blog, you must. she is an amazing photographer & she has ridiculous recipes that you should probably avoid browsing if you don’t want to be starving afterwards.
katie pointed me in her blog’s direction and boy am i glad she did!
one of her recipes really peaked my interest because of the way she made her omelet. yes i know i had eggs for breakfast but hey somebody’s gotta help out the chickens!
…does that even make sense?
anyways her kale ‘n eggs recipe looked amazing & so lunch was a no-brainer.
for the omelet i used: 1 egg + 2 egg whites, a bunch of kale, some sauteed peppers, onions, scallions & mushrooms, fresh sliced heirloom tomaters & melted goat cheesy-ness on top.
have a bite! it was earth-shattering.
on the side i roasted up some broccoli & carrot fries in stevia at 475 for about 20 minutes or so.
all together now!
totally would have scored an A+++ for this show & tell.
i spent the rest of the afternoon dibble dabbling with some homemade sauce & researching a how-to on canning tomato sauce for the winter.
there’s just so many fresh tomatoes out there now i can hardly contain myself!
eventually my stomach told me it was snack time!
show & tell # 4: protein ice cream with diced cocoa roasted almonds, puffed wheat & unsweetened cocoa dusting!
could my food seriously BE anymore glorious today?
it’s a good thing we don’t have show & tell because i have a feeling the cool kids would try and beat the recipes out of me during recess..
show & tell # 5: i had ruuuubies booobies for dinner tonight and youuuuu didn’t!
haha i’m such a cheap date. deej & i got a two for one coup in the mail for ruby’s and we took extreme advantage of it tonight. seriously if i could choose any fast foodish chain restaurant ruby tuesday’s totes takes the cake!
i mean come on. unlimited salad bar? duh.
fun fact: jenna & i call ruby tuesday’s, roobie’s booobies. hahahaha i’m 24 and she’s 18. we’re so mature.

show & tell #5: if my camera didn’t run out of bits you would have been able to see my protein cake cereal & mug of trader joe’s black mango tea.

- if we had adult show & tell what would you bring in? i would 100% bring in a bowl, a microwave, some oatmeal, eggs, or whatever and make breakfast. hahahahaha that’s terrible.
- what was the best show & tell you ever brought in? haha one time i totally brought in an apple and told this entire lie about my family being from “dutch” (as if that’s even a country) and cleaned my apple on my shirt as the show part and then “told” the whole class that “this is how we used to clean our apples in dutch.” apparently i’m a liar with no sense of geography…
- what’s your favorite fast food-ish chain restaurant?! roooooobiiieeeeeeees!
