it seems a lot of us are giving mother nature a good slap in the behind!

surprisingly i woke up this morning not feeling sore, which is oddly strange after shoveling ice for hours yesterday
it must have been because my body was too busy thinking about the delicious factor of last night’s dinner to pay attention to shoveling pain
bulgur lock n load
salad beast with a serving of bulgur cooked with oregano, chili powder, scallions, peppers & mushrooms. placed carefully on a bed of kale & crispied broccoli
topped off with my love of trader joe’s goat cheese & mardona peach balsamic glaze
to die faw.
apparently the bulgur worked wonders because was i not only not sore this morning but i was gearing and ready to pump some iron bright and early!
...but apparently i did not prevent me from taking a backwards angel dive into a 3 foot pile of snow wearing spandex, bare legs & a sweatshirt as i was trying to pull my frozen car door open at 5am this morning...
we now have an angel julie print in our snow field on our front lawn.
i warmed up with 10 minutes of incline walking on the treadmill then headed to the back of the gym to work on my stems

hack squats 3 sets 12 (60lbs) alternated with calf pulses 3 sets 25 (60lbs)
hamstring curls 4 sets
i was in a mad dash to get to work this morning for fear that the snow had overtaken the parkway and left it with nowhere to drive on
luckily i had just enough time to sport dirty hair, a basic office casual outfit and a coffee sizurping grin
black boyfriend fit pants (h&m), basic gray sweater (gap), white t (gap), zebra print thin belt (express), black ankle booties (daddy’s shoestore), shit-eating grin (me)
entire outfit price = priceless.
i was lucky enough to survive the commute and the roads were not covered to the brim in snow. just pot-holed out
at one point i thought i was going to take an alice in wonderland dive down a deep dark pothole
maybe then i could have enjoyed my breakfast at a queen of hearts tea party?
instead i ate my overnight oats at my desk
is that transformation not inspirational?
oat bran serving cooked with water & vanilla protein powder, mixed with peanut flour paste, apricot preserves & cinnamon roasted almonds.

this weekend i’ve got nothing special planned! a greek food date with the sister tonight and cleaning up my room are the two priorities on my list
oh and maybe getting my act together for classes. because they uh start on tuesday.
