knock knock..anyone home?
i’ve been MIA the past few days mainly because it’s been a pretty life changing weekend
and when i say life changing i really mean and overly dramatic way that my life hasn’t really changed at all, but i’ve been sucked into a few pretty stellar things that have been filed into my ‘life-changer’ filing cabinet.
oh. and the heat? <---makes me want to puke and not go near an electronic device
unless you count this one..
the most important things about this weekend included the following

an electronic device has officially taken over my body. all hope i had for my future to be bright and sociable has now gone out the window.
you should also know that i’ve found a way for this new-to-me trader joe’s product to magically find it’s way on to every possible food item that ‘makes sense’
three of the best things in life combined in one easy to churn grinder?
goat’s milk yogurt, peanut flour & an absurd amount of chocolate grindin’
now if only there was a grinding app…
i’ve also discovered where all the gorgeous, fit & julie golean approved long island men are on saturday mornings..
fitness advantage is now going to become my form of speed dating
in between each set make eye contact with one of the several gorgeous guys in the weight room.
saturday’s workout = 3-mile treadmill run + chest, shoulders & triceps + cleaning up my puddle of drool
circuit one: 4 times through
|wide grip assisted pull-ups||8||heavy-ish|
|close-grip assisted pull-ups||10||medium-heavy|
|shoulder press machine||10||medium-heavy (40-50lbs)|
circuit two: 4 times through
|cable chest fly||10||heavy (20-30lbs each side)|
circuit three: 4 times through
|v-rope tricep pressdown||8||heavy (40-50lbs)|
|leaning lateral raise||10||medium-heavy (10-15lbs)|
circuit four: 4 times through
|bench press||6-10||warmup + medium-heavy (increase weight each set)|
|leg raises (abs)||20||bodyweight|
i didn’t leave with any digits, but i did leave sweaty and ready to get home and get my grind on.
no not that grind.

and because i missed a post on friday, i did in fact do this heavy lift quad-focused workout. which i’m pretty obsessed with.
the heat has brought much ado, and i literally want nothing else then to drink unsweetened iced tea, coffee & lemonade all the live long day.

i came home from greenport last night to go to a friend’s birthday barbeque, so i’m chillin’ home today all by myself!
i think it’s time to take my computer upstairs into the air conditioning and straight chill out for a bit.
no workout + sleeping in + chillin’ out = lazy sunday!
