what’s up wednesday

hey hey puffins!

how is everything with you? everything on this end is just fine and dandy. wednesday’s just another wednesday’s so let’s do a ‘what’s up wednesday!’

what’s up with me?

i feel like i should tell you the fabulous news! the gorgeous and fabulous kelly olexa has invited me to be an OFFICIAL fitfluential ambassador! i’m majorly excited, amped and honored to be bestowed this fierce title.

too many ‘f’ words?

isn’t that super news? AND to top it off, she featured me in this weeks ‘WOOT wednesday” post on her blog. um what? so if you’re looking to find a wee bit more about me (because obvi who’s not..) head on over and check out my interview!

can i get a ‘woot woot’?

what’s up with me?

um meet my new peanut butter addiction

IMG_1174

new addiction meet breakfast

IMG_1173

overnight protein oatmeal + CHUNKY peanut butter globs meet my mouth or meet my messy desk and now peanut butter stained papers

okay what’s up with me?

so, if we’re gonna talk about oatmeal then we might as well just get this out of the way.

IMG_1175IMG_1176

dark & mysterious it may seem. luscious and delicious it proves to be.

oh marshalls why do you make life so wonderful…

IMG_1160IMG_1161

pumpkin protein oats with peanut flour & salty roasted almonds

i mean technically you can’t ‘see’ the almond extract in this bowl, but you should have seen my face upon first bite.

what’s up with me?

um hello busy girl healthy live artichoke bean dip

i made a batch of this this past weekend, just on a whim because hey why not, right?

and i don’t even like artichokes. um NOW I DO.

IMG_1162IMG_1163

i’ve been putting it ev.er.y.where.

um that’s what she said..

but seriously if you like artichokes, or just if you don’t you just need to make this. trust me.

so, what’s up with me?

um did someone say butternut squash?

IMG_1167

oh that’s right. I DID. for the record, it’s TOTALLY worth the extra dollar to buy butternut squash pre-cut & pealed. um have you ever tried cutting open a butternut squash? it’s not fun, or pretty, and if you (or me) is planning on sporting a 6-karat on your left ring finger some day, then to save my fingers i will forever be buying precut/cubed.

speaking of butternut squash. perhaps if you’re interested you may or may not. want to check out these 5 healthy butternut squash recipes that were just perfect timing yesterday

oh what’s up with me?

um did someone say naomi’s lower body metabolic workout? yep, i did. yesterday i did her lower body metabolic workout, 5x through. balls. today i did spin with no legs left from yesterday.

efficiency at it’s finest. just how i like it. oh yeah.

OH what’s up with me?

sad. sad. SAD. day.

today was the final dropping of my FAVORITE godiva caramel pecan bark.

IMG_1171

i shed a tear of sadness en route to work

the realized YAY. tomorrow means i get to try pete’s! how does foodbuzz know the way to my heart..

totes a review to come.

what’s up with me? um erica knows how to look out for her girlfriend and future sister in law

did you hear the FABULOUS news about mustard? now all of us mustard addicts can jump for joy

what’s up with me?

it’s time for x-factor & my new favorite evening snack

coco-nutty latte!

to make this deliciousness do the following:

IMG_1170

1. put a glob of stevia, a heaping spoonful of unsweetened cocoa powder, and a HEAPING glob of peanut flour in the bottom of a mug

2. steam a cup of almond milk

3. boil a cup of water

4. pour almond milk & water into mug, do NOT stir with spoon

instead slurp up that peanut flour chunks and eat with a spoon. mmmmm

let’s do it do it do it.

i’m in a great mood tonight, can you tell?

on that note i’m out like kraut.

love to love you <3

cawfee tawk! you know what’s up with me. so what’s up with YOU!?

  2. congrats on the fitfluential feature

and everything looks awesome. love that dip.

TJs has the best frozen artichokes. that way you dont have to open a whole can, you can just grab a handful from the freezer and toss them in anything. also no salt, oil, garlic, etc. just plain. best food discovery of the year for me :)

Taking the skin off that stuff is ridiculous. Whats up with me? Balancing all of this work, baby, working out/teaching stuff is ridiculous. Is it Friday yet? Exciting news- Kaylin slept 5 1/2 hours straight last night. Ridonc

  10. Glad to hear TJ's has it going on in the crunchy salty PB dept--I tried their creamy unsalted and hated it. I guess that tiny amount of salt really does make a diff.

  16. Congrats on being a fit fluential ambassador!

Just wanted to let you know that there is a really easy way to roast butternut squash using the whole veg. It changed my life.

The key? Keeping the skin on.

I actually wrote a whole blogpost about how to do it, so I won't use up the whole comment section to write it out.

    Here's the linkage!

And artichokes? Never ate them but I made a spinach, artichoke dip once and LOVED LOVED LOVED it. Here's the recipe: http://www.dashingdish.com/2010/03/1266/. I think you would LOVEE IT.

  18. I'll tell you what's up with ME! I just added peanut butter, times ten, on my TJ list for this weekend because it's going up in price 45% in November.
AND, something else that's UP with ME is that I'm LOVING that butternut squash hummus recipe! Maybe with a side of mustard? Why not. I'm eating wasabi mustard right now...does that count?!
