back to grind? eh.
i am too.
this weekend i was a busy bee and so blogging, internet creeping and the usual took a back burner.
it’s not like a took a ‘internet vacation’ because i had school work to do all weekend but it was more of a ‘i’ve got a lot of stuff i need to get done that doesn’t involve blogging’ break haha
i’d much rather be not doing that
BUT i did not step one foot in the gym this weekend!
my body was screaming for a break so i chilled out on saturday, conquered a bunch of errands, got my face in my schoolwork both days and sunday opted for a nice leisurely walk in the park with deej.
it was glorious
as was dinner last night
a salad beast with kale, salmon, roasted broccoli, roasted kabocha squash, & drenched in balsamic, nooch & goat cheeeeeese
i have to admit i forgot how delicious goat cheese & salmon are together.
and don’t workouts always feel so delicious when you come back feeling fresh and revived?
believe me i wanted to sleep today. i wanted to sleep for the whole day. mainly because when it rains it ignites the feeling of the need to sleep forever
instead i got up. got my sneaks on.and got my butt to the gym to be there when the doors open
i always like to do cardio on mondays because it feels like a refreshing way to start the week off sweaty
usually i take spin on monday mornings but because of the weather i knew it would be a beastly commute and that i wouldn’t be able to take the entire class and get to work on time
instead i hiit-ed it on the treadmill for about 20 minutes and then popped into the spin class for about 15-20 minutes or so. then i ended with some biceps & abs because i skipped that yesterday
glorious. it felt nice to be back
not so nice was my commute
but i had my good radio friends, egg beaters, a cup of strawberry coffee & my breakfast to look forward to to get me through
and the award for best kiss goes to me and my coffee mug
finally i made it to work alive and well and ‘enjoyed’ my breakfast during our monday morning staff meeting
today’s feature was not what it was yesterday but close enough?
big batched protein oats + peanut flour paste + almonds & jelly

see even my camera liked yesterday better than today.
today’s lunch features a salad beast with canned tuna & hummus plus a side of canned pumpkin with cocoa powder.
mm. i’m hungry
i’ve got a boatload on my plate this week so if my commenting is a bit sparse it’s not you it’s me ;)
time to eat!
