blogging is weird.
it’s like one day away or 48 hours not getting in touch with your google reader and it seems you are way out of the loop, ya feel me?
but what exactly is “the loop”
i guess ‘the loop’ is whatever you want it to be.
well if you’re interested in getting in my loop then you should know lately i’ve been doing everything on extra large terms
so only the big boys can play in this loop.
last night i brought back a dear old friend of mine
it’s not like she had been gone for long (what, like a week?) but i simply just forgot about her!
and by her i’m referring to a cheese. goat cheese.
and upon consuming this extra large salad beast i gave birth to a baby goat cheese girl
i packed this baby tight with a plethora of delicious add-ins
- kale & spinach
- mushrooms, tomatoes & peppers
- roasted broccoli (sprinkled with 2 packets of stevia & roasted at 475 for about 25 minutes)
- roasted kombuca squash (roasted in nooch, chili powder & italian seasonings; 475 ~35mins)
- trader joe’s salmon patty (pan fried in evoo spray, lemon juice & braggs)
- trader joe’s honey goat chevre (<---amazING)
last night i made two important decisions.
1. i picked my wedding song out last night!
looks like i’ve got all the essentials for a perfect wedding, now i just need to find the man.
which obviously should be not a problem...
oh! my wedding song? WILL BE my favorite all time elton john song: ‘your song’
watching casey abrams perform it on idol last night gave me serious chills & made me want to cry.
perhaps i should marry him?
i digress. enough about marriage julie.
2. i choose sleep > top chef finale. so DON’T YOU DARE ruin it for me.
it’s number 1 on my list of things to do when i get home from work.
choice number two also led me to this fabulous lower body workout this morning
i did a similar one to last week and choose smaller reps with a tad higher weight but focused on really getting low & doing the exercises with proper form.
which will lead me to an extra large case of DOMS tomorrow morning
-squats 5x5 (95lbs)
-deadlifts 5x5 (90lbs)
-leg press 5x5 (140lbs)
-plie squats 5x5 (95lbs)
-hack squat 5x5 (50lbs)
-cable hip extension 3x10 each leg (20lbs cable weight)
i always do a set of ‘warm up’ with much lighter weight so that i’m not jumping right into some heaviness
& for fun i walked on the treadmill so i could watch all of the gossipy news for about 20 minutes at 3.8 with a 4.5% incline.
oh speaking of delicious & extra large
overnight protein chia oats with peanut flour paste. is totally the addiction of my life.
i bought my bag of chia seeds a week ago and i’m already done with it. thank the good chia lord above that my 2lb bag from chiaseedsdirect.com came in the mail yesterday!
something that wasn’t so extra large today was my desire to be fashionably cool. instead i went basic dress denim pants, a long sleeve black t-shirt, some nude pumps & bedazzled it up with a classy scarf
lazy girl’s guide to dressing: add a scarf.
oh! so you know my love for italian bakery baked goods, right?
guess what. my genius friend erica came up with a genius idea to review different bakeries italian cookies once (or twice or three times or every day) a month. when she said this i squealed with excitement and deej loves the idea too.
so if you’re cool enough to be my friend on facebook you would have seen my cry out for italian bakery recommendations. that’s right people. i’m on the hunt for the BEST italian cookies out there.
feel free to recommend some places (preferably in the new york area) and i’m self proclaiming myself
