the 1% of the time i’m not..well that hasn’t happened yet. so i’ll let you know
deej brought us up the right way, and we understand that all you need in life to be happy is to be happy with yourself, love yourself, love your family & have fun. i know that someday someone will find my craziness mildly attractive and perhaps buy me a meal, but i’m only 25, which in my eyes for me is way too young to be thinking about anyone else but myself.
i have a feeling that saying no to dairy won’t be a problem if i have breakfasts like this around town..
the. best. breakfast. to. date.
in the bowl:
- overnight protein oats (1/3c oats mixed with 1 serving of isopure cookies & cream protein powder)
- a 6oz container of fresh raspberries
- trader joe’s flaxseed with blueberries (also known as breakfast sprinkles!)
over the past 24 hours i’ve developed 2 VERY unhealthy addictions
dear lord of fruit, please don’t ever let raspberries go out of season. love always, julie (your newest addict)
two: deli unsweetened iced tea.
i mean they couldn’t be any healthier
but they are most certainly not healthy for my purse
raspberries: $1.99 for 6oz container
deli unsweetened iced tea: $2.06 for a HUGE (they don’t label sizes) cup.
i guess i could rationalize it this way…
so instead of spending money on my significant other, i’m simply spending it on myself on things like raspberries, deli unsweetened iced teas, & massive sales at the gap
hey i gotta spend my money on something, right?
wait so, that’s only 2 addictions..
oh i know the third.
waddling out of the gym after a stellar legs workout
here’s how it went
10 minutes incline treadmill walking (3.8mph @ 6.5 incline)
- 12 reps, 65lbs
- 10 reps, 75lbs
- 8 reps, 85lbs
- 8 reps, 95lbs
- 6 reps, 105lbs
in between each set of weighted squats i did a set of 15 reps of prisoner jump squats (bodyweight)
single leg dead lifts 3 sets 12 reps (25lb dumbbells) alternated with bench jumps 3 sets 15 (bodyweight)
sumo squats 4 sets 10 (95lbs) alternated with weighted bench step-ups 3 sets 10 (each leg done separately) 25lb dumbbells in each hand
- 2 sets of 10 reps, 85lbs
- 2 sets of 8 reps, 95lbs
in between each set of deadlifts i did a set of 15 shoulder to knee plank twists
4 sets of 10 reps, leg press machine (140lbs) alternated with calf presses 4x10 (same weight as leg press)
leg extension machine 4x10 (90lbs) alternated with 15 reps of bosu burpees (bodyweight)
balls. this was a sick workout.
am i allowed to add one more thing to the three things i’m obsessed with this thursday?

I’M OFFICIALLY DONE WITH GRAD SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!
yep. that’s right, i handed in my final paper for the summer class yesterday, got an A- in the course, finished my degree with a 3.4 gpa, and officially have my masters in public administration
no more pencils, no more books, no more teachers dirty looks!
well until i go for my doctorate. but that’s down the road.
for now, what am i gonna do? whatever i want! live my life, see my friends, have fun, do lots of puzzles (yes i put puzzles and fun in the same sentence), eat, drink, love life, and pretty much everything in between.
let’s get our joisy fist pump on to that..
(for the record: that tank cost me $4 bucks at the gap! the shorts? uh $6.75. <—the gap = my love)
side note: i also wanted to know that if you guys get response notifications if i respond to your comments in the comments section? i would LOVE to know, because i want you to know i’m responding! ha. ha.
