i digress. anyways after a what seemed like fo-ev-er day at the office, i was super hyped to see that deej & jen wanted to meet up for dinner. cooking just seemed like way too big of process and the idea of having someone else make me an omelet was just ideal
so we headed to the local golden reef diner for some omelets & girl chat
deej’s drwooooid (as she prounounces it) was experiences the ‘black screen of death’ so we spent much of the meal ranting and raving about the monopoly of phone companies on the world
i on the other hand was quite content instagram-ing my adoration for unsweetened iced tea & wolfing down my spinach & pepper egg white omelet.
all dressed to perfection in house tatziki.
right now i’m pretty obsessed with thursday nights, just because we’re still on summer friday schedules at work so thursday night’s mean i don’t have to do anything, which also includes staying up later & sleeping in a bit.
so i took this opportunity to sit my puffy butt down on the sticky leather couch with a bucket of frozen peanut butter popcorn & housewife reruns.
about 1-2 hours later i found myself in a puddle of my own drool. apparently i was tired..
when i woke up this morning i was so sore from yesterday’s crazy good chest & back lift and so i put the weights on the menu for tomorrow and opted to get schweaty on the treadmill instead
running for fun and sweat < running for pain and miles. (did i do that inequality correct? they were never my forte)
i remembered seeing an incline hiit posted by naomi the other day, and although i couldn’t remember it by heart i did my own adapted version
and pretty much died.
here’s what i did:

re.dic.you.lous. insanity is an understatement. i’m not even going to pretend that i didn’t want to cry at around minute 27 but i kept pushing myself and so glad i did.
try it, i sweat even if it’s just an adaptation of it it’s a kill killah.

i ended with about 10-15 minutes of some core work and stretching
- stability ball knee-to-shoulder tucks
- kettlebell twists
- stability ball planks
- full body crunches
- repeated 2-3x

last night prior to face planting into a pool of my own drool, i had anticipated a somewhat serious need for oats, plus i think i just wanted a spoon to lick.
so i hit the stove and whipped up a quick batch of perfectly pink protein oats
that way when i got home from the gym, de-stankafied myself, food came in three easy steps!
take out pre-made oats, chop cocoa roasted almonds, break-up frozen peanut flour candy
i pretty much inhaled this in like 30 secconds
on another note. this is a sad sad weekend! it’s our family’s last weekend spent in greenport because we rented out our cottage to another family for the entire month of august.
the summer is over.
so in a few hours, jenna & i are road-trippin out there
before that i’m off to trader joe’s and to visit the bestie’s brand spankin’ new house!
