top 2012 moments

hi friends! we did it! we’re here – can you believe a whole freaking year has gone by.

i feel like it was just yesterday that i was writing about getting tickets to the kenny chesney/tim mcgraw concert – and then before i knew it it was august and jenna and i were at the concert

crazy how time flies.

i know everyone does it – but that doesn’t mean it’s illegal right? so i figured while i enjoy my two ingredient pancake & mint chocolate chip coffee we could reflect together on my favorite moments from 2012

yes what you’re seeing on the right is real. regarding the pancake- i just mixed together canned pumpkin & eggs/whites and cooked it like a pancake – then topped it off halfsies with almond butter and halfsies with peanut butter. yum.

so instead of yelling and screaming at 2013 to – ‘bring it on’ – remember 2012’s declaration? let’s travel through 2012 together and remember the good times

my top 2012 moments:

in February i started a new job! which dropped me off every day in the heart <3 of brooklyn heights – i couldn’t be happier at my new office and i’m excited for what 2013 has to bring there (cough: moving to brooklyn :cough)

the ny giants went & won the superbowl – we had a party – it was one of the best days of deej’s life – if you don’t remember – my younger brother jack rounded out the season eating a victory shrimp & rainbow cookie sandwich. – deej was so excited about the superbowl that we still had the balloons to prove it a month later..

my girlfriends and i went on a mini girls weekend getaway to old saybrook, connecticut – where we stayed at the old saybrook inn spa, ate mass seafood, relaxed and did girly-things

i started training with tara – who completely changed the way i work out and the way i view food – for that i owe her my life & my legs – i bet you didn’t know i’m her oldest client – well not oldest but longest training!

my brother james & laura got ENGAGED. and shortly after they told us we would be going to IRELAND for their may 2013 wedding

this is random and totally weird – but i ate beef for the first time in over 10 years! – i loved it – and there was no turning back.

i made it through my first huge event at work – it was ultra exhausting and fulfilling all at once

i went to many a good concerts – lady antebellum at radio city music hall, tim mcgraw & kenny chesney at metlife stadium & grace potter and the nocturnals at the beacon theatre

i turned 26 and brought it on with a fiesta with the besta

our fourth year doing the shelter island 10k run/5k walk – the biggest group yet & the most fun!

visited belmont raceway for my first time ever!

celebrated my cousin’s marriage in many different ways – a bridal shower & a wedding weekend in gettysburg – watch out for ghost busters with beer helmets, & typical long island girls stomping the dance floor. a few weekends later we couldn’t get enough so we road tripped to baltimore for a yankees/orioles baseball game

deej & i visited WFAN studios for the 2nd best day of her life…

in october hurricane sandy hit the east coast hard – it was the strangest and most life changing week of my life

and to end the year – i tried crossfit, fell in love & signed up!

it’s been a super fun year – and i’m even more excited for 2013.

Happy New Year! Story of my life... I just like to celebrate the new year more often than once.

now the question is?

are you with me?

Happy New Year

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

love to love you <3
