are you sad? i’m pretty sad.
this is the last & final post about ireland
well i mean last and final RECAP about ireland – i’m sure i’ll be talking about ireland for years to come

and here this brings us to – the last day & night in dublin
saturday AM i actually ended up waking up bright & early- i guess i wanted to maximize my ireland time –so i woke up did a mini hotel workout on the hotel rower (tabatas of 40 seconds on 20 seconds off for 20 minutes & a push-up/air-squat 10 minute AMRAP) and then headed downstairs for our last FULL irish breakfast
i beasted this one
left no meat behind. – my plate contained the following (quite possibly the largest meal i’ve ever consumed)
3 fried eggs, 2 sausage links, 3 slices of bacon, grilled mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, sliced turkey breast, a bowl of fruit with yogurt & sliced almonds, a large pot of coffee (with cream) and then as if it wasn’t enough – an apple.
shopping fuel! it was off to the streets of dublin to spend our american dollars in europe
of course we didn’t let rain stop us.
lookie what i found! souvies!
me & van in ‘house of ireland’ – me pointing to my future wedding gift to myself…everyone take note for the future
we had big group plans for dinner – but deej, jenna, van & i managed to find time to hit up the museum of art & a coffee shop. actually it was a ‘cafe’ and when we walked in and said we were there for coffee they took us to another room and sat us next to a sign that said ‘bullshit corner’ – deej was also told that ‘they ran out of irish coffee’
…is that even possible?
lesson learned: ask for guiness.
after we were officially done romping around dublin we headed back to the hotel to get ready for our last night in ireland.
on the schedule was a farewell dinner at the good old jameson factory
paparazzi – step & repeat.
waiting for our tour to start (and freaking hungry as hell) – we obviously had no resort but to get boozy.
let the games begin! we were guided through about a 20-25 minute tour of the process of making, barreling and letting good old whiskey brew
it was interesting but i was really keen on getting my thirst on.
after dinner – there was what else? live entertainment!
and the brand new groom was picked to come up on stage and ‘dance’
…or frolick around…and bring shame to the family name
the night was over, the trip was coming to a conclusion and we were sad.
the next morning we boarded the bus to dublin airport at 5AM – sad, tired, lack of caffeine & food – we had a 9AM flight back to the US – back to the real world
let’s not talk about our experience with United Airlines flying out of dublin – talking about it would bring dismay onto the trip. i will say that we got there with 3 hours to check in – plenty of time – and just barely made our flight because during check-in it took over an hour – with ONE PERSON checking people in.
but that’s here nor there.
i have to say that this trip was the trip of a lifetime – i have never been that happy in my entire life – the night of the wedding was like a fairy tale – the entire trip i felt like i was as high as a kite – it felt so good to worry about nothing – to think about nothing – to be with my family – to laugh so hard i couldn’t breathe – to watch two people who love each other commit a life together – i just can’t even express how joyful the trip was
and now this girl has the travel bug! where will my next adventure be?
who knows! only time will tell!
hope you enjoyed my super long ireland recap – i just can’t believe it came and went!
real posting to resume
love to love you <3
